New Union Partnership with Local 300 Expands Opportunities for Our Participants
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Local 300, a monumental step forward in expanding opportunities for our participants. After many in-depth talks, discussions, and meetings with Local 300’s leadership, we have formalized a partnership. This marks the second union partnership we have established, furthering our mission to provide comprehensive support and pathways to career success for our participants.
Expanding Opportunities for Our Participants
This new collaboration with Local 300 significantly enhances the opportunities available to those who complete our pre-apprenticeship program. Local 300 represents a diverse array of trades that cover crucial aspects of the construction and labor industries. Their members work in roles such as asphalt shoveling, concrete cutting, tree climbing, and confined space labor, among others. These roles cover a wide range of responsibilities, from demolition work to specialized tasks like fiberoptic installation and certified toxic waste removal.
With this partnership, participants who finish our program can now access apprenticeships in various areas, including:
Concrete work (screeding, patching, curing)
Demolition and construction cleanup
Asphalt raking and installation
Traffic control and safety
Underground labor (caisson work and confined space labor)
Certified confined space operations
Heavy construction support (such as fine grading for highways, streets, and runways)
Restructuring Our Pre-Apprenticeship Program
This partnership allows us to rethink and enhance our pre-apprenticeship program. By aligning our training with the needs of Local 300, we will now be able to offer specialized preparation for trades like asphalt installation, pipeline labor, and even certified welding. This restructuring ensures our participants receive targeted education that prepares them not just for immediate employment but for a long-term career as a unionized tradesperson.
Our collaboration with Local 300 complements our existing union partnerships and underscores our commitment to equipping participants with the skills and credentials necessary to secure stable, well-paying jobs. The skills they develop during their time with us will position them for success in trades that are essential to our infrastructure and communities.
We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of Local 300 and excited for what this partnership will mean for our participants. Together, we are creating more pathways to success, more opportunities for meaningful work, and a stronger workforce ready to meet the demands of today’s industries. Stay tuned for more updates as we expand this program and continue to make a positive impact in the lives of our participants and the communities we serve.
