WAIVER AND PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

Our tree planting events are a fun and rewarding experience, but as with any outdoor activity, there are some things to keep in mind to stay safe and have a great time.
By signing below, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event and understand that:
Understanding of Participation – I am participating in a hands-on tree planting event that may involve light physical activity, such as digging, lifting, and handling tools. I will follow safety guidelines provided by SLA staff and volunteers.
Health & Safety – I will take care of my own well-being by staying hydrated, using sunscreen, wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, and asking for assistance when needed. If I have any medical concerns, I will inform the event organizers beforehand.
Liability Release – I agree that SLA and its event partners are not responsible for any minor injuries (such as scratches or insect bites) or any unforeseen incidents. I understand that all reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure my safety.
Photo & Video Release – I grant permission for SLA to use any photos or videos taken during the event for promotional and educational purposes. If I prefer not to be included, I will let the event organizers know in advance.
Respect & Community Engagement – I will respect fellow participants, event leaders, and the environment by following guidelines and treating everyone with kindness and consideration.
Minors Participation – If I am signing on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent/guardian and give permission for them to participate.
